Hi Everyone, I chose the movie Speed for our firm response discussion and paper this semester. It was one of the suggested movies but also happens to be a movie that I've watched a number of times and enjoy. I certainly never saw it as more then a good action flick until this class but after re-watching the movie I've started to pick up the group dynamics and how each persons role in the group was important. I focused my time on the scene where most of the movies takes place which is on a bus that has a number of passengers and that bus was rigged to explode by a bomber if it dropped below a certain speed. Keanu Reeves is one of the main characters in the movie and he plays police officer Jack Traven. Jack's role in the film is to no ones surprise a leadership role.
